Chances are, if you’re single, everyone will tell you to find a girlfriend. You’ll find more meaning in life and have more sex, but that is not true. You’ll be happier in the end.
Sure, sure. Yes, girlfriends do have their benefits. A fuck friend has its advantages, too. There are many great reasons to not get a girlfriend. If you are young, I believe the cons outweigh any pros.
Perhaps it is better to wait. Perhaps it is better to have a one-night stand or friends with benefits. These are just a few reasons to not get a girlfriend. Not yet, at least! Why friends with benefits might be more beneficial…
Your Lifestyle is changing… Completely
You might hear a new partner say that she won’t force or make you change your life. Maybe she won’t. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t change. You have to spend time with your girlfriend in order to have and keep her.
When I say “sometime”, I really mean a lot of time. Talking on the phone will become a regular part of your life, as well as long weekend weekends spent together. You can expect to spend around 30% of your time together, even if you’re a very independent couple. This will go up if you move in!
Let’s see what this means in concrete terms.
- Spend less time out partying/drinking with friends.
- You have less time to devote to your personal projects, such as business ideas, further education, or hobbies.
- Spend more time watching CHICK FLICKS than ACTION MOVIES
All of this comes to an end when you tell your girlfriend you are going on a 2 weeks holiday to Steve’s stag do, only to find out that you can’t. They either tell you to go or say they can’t. They have a point. You wouldn’t want to take the only holiday you can afford.
Even though she may be very laid back, there will come a time when you have to choose between a single, fun life and a relationship with sex. Do not make that commitment until it is time! If you’re friends with benefits, you can get all the “benefits”, but still be able to live a young single life.
Girls are expensive!
One day, a girlfriend may become a husband. You can say goodbye to your bank account when that happens. Then, you have kids. Even if she’s a girl friend, you’ll still spend money on:
- Dates
- Gifts (such jewellery)
- Enjoy activities together
- To travel (to meet one another and to be together)
- Stationery (you heard it)
This will put money in your bank account and prevent you from spending on things you don’t want. Guess who doesn’t need you to buy her a diamond engagement ring? A fuck buddy!
Another change can also occur. You gain responsibility when you find a serious partner. You must not spink all of your money. Why? Because it might be necessary to build a relationship. Your choices now impact someone else. You should be single if you want a big screen TV, fast car or stylish suit. For now, at least!

Drama can happen to even the best relationships in the world.
You will have times when you go out with the guys and your partner is jealous. What about arguments over money? What would you call the child you aren’t sure you want? ?
You’ve seen the movies. The drama ensues when friends with benefits fall for each other. You know what? These are not movies. Adult men and women can have a relationship that is completely free from strings. There is no drama. It’s amazing!

The myth that you have more sexual experience in a relationship is false! Relationships are wonderful, but they can also be very comfortable. There is far less mystery. You know everything about each other. It is inevitable that there will be less sexual activity over time.
It happens with a fuck friend too, but that’s when it becomes exciting! You gain experience by having one night stands. You discover more about yourself and how you can please your partner.
